JOHN TOMASINO was swore in by Chief Justice Ricky Polston as the Florida Supreme Court’s new clerk November 4 in the courtroom at the start of the monthly oral argument week. Tomasino, 45, is the court’s 21st clerk since statehood. Tomasino previously worked as administrative director in the Public Defender’s Office for the Second Judicial Circuit in Tallahassee. He succeeds Thomas D. Hall of Tallahassee. Born and raised in Tampa, Tomasino attended the University of South Florida and graduated from Florida State University College of Law in 1996. He has lived in Tallahassee since 1994 and is married to Kathy Butler, above center, a staff attorney at the Second Judicial Circuit court based in Tallahassee.
