P rofessionalism discussed in Bartow

Ita M. Neymotin, regional counsel for the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, Second District Court of Appeal, hosted a “Professionalism in Florida Courts/Ethics/Dependency” seminar in Bartow.

Other presenters included Henry Lee Paul, ex officio member of the Florida Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism and Board of Governors Standing Committee on Professionalism; Mercy Hermida, managing attorney for the Department of Children and Families; Rita Friedman, supervising attorney for the Guardian Ad Litem Office; and Eve Greenberg, assistant regional counsel for the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel. The judges who presented included Neil Roddenbery and William Bruce Smith.

Neymotin began the presentation speaking on The Florida Bar Guidelines for Professional Conduct, Code for Resolving Professionalism Complaints, and the Professionalism Expectations. She also provided the attendees with Professionalism in the Florida Courts booklets that they could take with them for future reference. The booklets had materials collected from the Bar and the 20th Circuit court websites.
