Fourth Circuit JNC taking applicantions
The Fourth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission is now accepting applications to fill a circuit vacancy resulting from the retirement of Judge Michael R. Weatherby.
Applicants must have been members of The Florida Bar for the preceding five years, registered voters, and residents of the territorial jurisdiction of the court at the time they assume office.
Applications can be obtained on The Florida Bar Web site, www.floridabar.org.
An original and nine copies of the completed application, a photograph, and all attachments must be delivered to Ava Parker, JNC Chair, Lawrence & Parker, 101 East Union Street, Suite 200, Jacksonville 32202-6002, phone (904) 356-8822, no later than 5 p.m., November 13.
If you submitted an application for the vacancy created by the death of Judge Peter J. Fryefield, you may submit a letter and request the JNC also consider the same application for the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Weatherby.
Applicants do not have to submit a new application for the second vacancy, but must submit a letter requesting that your application be considered for the second vacancy.
