Jennifer L. Griffin has joined Quarles & Brady in Tampa as a partner in the trusts and estates practice group. Griffin focuses on the administration of estates and trusts, the specific representation of fiduciaries and beneficiaries, as to their rights and obligations involved in the administration of estates and trusts, assisting in the resolution of disputes arising from the administration of estates and trusts, and clients with wealth planning and preservation.

Aristides “Kico” Diaz has joined Rogers Towers in Jacksonville as a shareholder in the firm’s litigation department. Diaz focuses on business-related matters, including litigation, debt collections, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, purchase and sale of businesses, franchises, and incorporations.

Lynn L. Audie, Patrick K. Dahl, Kevin A. Houston, and Charlene C. Poblete have been promoted to partner, and Michael C. Tyson has become a shareholder, in Wicker Smith O’Hara McCoy and Ford. Audie focuses on medical malpractice, insurance coverage issues, personal injury claims, contractual disputes, negligent security, intellectual property, automobile negligence, and general liability claims, in the Miami office. Dahl focuses on appellate, automotive, civil litigation, commercial litigation, construction, labor and employment, medical malpractice, pharmaceutical and medical devices, premises liability, sexual abuse, and professional liability in the Ft. Lauderdale office. Houston focuses on general liability matters involving the defense of commercial trucking accidents, premises liability, negligent security claims, automobile accidents and workers’ compensation, as well as medical and legal malpractice, in the Naples office. Poblete works in the Jacksonville office and focuses on medical and legal malpractice, insurance agent-broker errors and omissions, premises liability, and products liability. Tyson focuses on medical malpractice, premises liability, negligent security, trucking litigation, general civil litigation, and appellate law, in Orlando.

Kristen Rasmussen joined Dow Lohnes PLLC in Atlanta as a litigation associate. She represents clients in a variety of matters with an emphasis on media issues.

Carol “Jodie” Breece has become ethics counsel for the Broward Office of the Inspector General. She will develop and administer the office’s ethics outreach, training, and compliance programs and administer the enforcement of Broward County’s ethics code for elected officials.

Miguel Diaz de la Portilla has joined Arnstein & Lehr as a partner in Miami and will focus on land use and zoning, government procurement, bid protests, code enforcement, permitting, and property tax appeals.Elinette Ruiz has also joined the firm as an associate and will work directly with Diaz de la Portilla.

Gregory C. Ward has opened The Ward Law Group in Miami, an insurance coverage and commercial litigation firm. Ward also plans to have offices open soon in Maryland, Massachusetts, and New York.

Jeff Reel has been promoted to vice president and general counsel of ATP Tour, Inc., the governing body of the men’s professional tennis circuit, sanctioning 62 tournaments on the ATP World Tour in 32 countries.
