Nelson T. Castellano, Roberta A. Colton, Gerald D. Davis, and J. Eric “Tate” Taylor have been elected to Trenam Kemker’s executive board. Taylor will assume the role of chair and Marie Tomassi will serve as managing shareholder. Harold W. “Hal” Mullis remains president of the firm.

Stephen G. Salley has rejoined Greenberg Traurig in Orlando. Salley is a tax attorney.

William R. Dobbins has been promoted to partner of Hinshaw & Culbertson in Jacksonville. Dobbins focuses his litigation practice on the defense of workers’ compensation matters, personal injury and general liability claims, and professional liability matters.

Pedro E. Hernandez and Eric A. Hiller have been promoted to partner of Hinshaw & Culbertson in Coral Gables. Hernandez handles commercial, construction, coverage, and health care litigation. Hiller focuses on insurance coverage and complex commercial litigation and handles high-exposure claims including common law and statutory bad faith litigation.

Alix C. Michel and David J. Ward have formed Michel & Ward, PC, in Chattanooga, TN. The firm will handle arbitration, personal injury, property, professional malpractice, defense of health-related board investigations, product liability, construction, prescription drug claims, insurance coverage, insurance defense, environmental and toxic tort matters, labor and employment litigation, long-term care litigation, and appeals.

Rick Gomez has become a partner with Weissman, Nowack, Curry, & Wilco in Miami. Gomez focuses on litigation and collection matters for banks, mortgage servicers, and community associations and handles residential and commercial mortgage default-related cases, real estate transactions, general business litigation, and bankruptcy matters relating to creditors’ rights.

D’Lugo & DeFlora, P.A., has moved its office to 104 S. Clyde Ave., Kissimmee 34741.

Julian F. Montero has joined Arnstein & Lehr in Miami as a partner in the corporate transactions and counseling practice group and works on the development of the firm’s immigration practice.

Araly Herrera has become a named partner of Gamba, Lombana & Herrera in Coral Gables. Herrera represents victims of catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, automobile, trucking, and wrongful death cases. She also represents business owners in complex commercial litigation.

Joseph “Joe” A. Vallo has joined Burr & Forman in Ft. Lauderdale. Vallo represents clients involved in securities litigation, as well as securities arbitration and mediation.

Daniel F. Dickenson has opened Daniel F. Dickenson, P.A., in Boca Raton. The firm will focus on general civil litigation as well as first party insurance and personal injury matters. The office is located at 150 East Palmetto Park Road, Suite 500, Boca Raton 33432.

Spencer T. Kuvin, a board certified civil trial lawyer, has joined The Law Offices of Craig Goldenfarb as director of litigation. Kuvin will serve as lead counsel in cases involving automobile accidents, premises accidents, nursing home abuse, medical malpractice, and product liability.

Tiffany Coburn has joined Kevin D. Slattery, P.A., in Tampa as an associate. The firm practices exclusively U.S. immigration and nationality law, including family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, naturalization/citizenship, and removal/deportation defense.

Alvarez, Sambol & Winthrop has relocated its Orlando office to 390 N. Orange Avenue, Suite 600, Orlando 32801, on the sixth floor of the Bank of America Building.

Ming A. Marx has become a partner with Grower, Ketcham, Rutherford, Bronson, Eide & Telan in Maitland.

Sean M. Byrne has joined Bach & Jacobs in Sarasota. Byrne focuses on trust and estate planning, probate, guardianship, and elder law litigation.

W. Donald Cox has joined Wiand Guerra King in Tampa. Cox is board certified in both business litigation and civil trial law and will continue his litigation, appellate, and regulatory practice and will also serve as a mediator and arbitrator of complex litigation matters and business disputes.

Thomas E. Toner has joined Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed in Orlando as of counsel. Toner will focus on patent prosecution, copyright, trademark, trade secret, and related technology litigation.

Kathryn von Matthiessen has joined Cantor & Webb in Miami as a partner. She will focus primarily on personal and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and the administration of complex estates and trusts, including advising international trust companies on reporting obligations concerning U.S. matters.

Andrew (Drew) Lincoln has joined FordHarrison in Tampa as a senior associate. Lincoln focuses on labor and employment law.

Ted R. Brown has joined Holland & Knight in Orlando. Brown’s practice is centered on the representation of developers and companies active in land acquisition and development.

John C. “Jack” Shawde and John D. Eaton have formed the law firm of Shawde & Eaton, P.L., with offices at 1792 Bell Tower Lane, Weston 33326. Shawde and Eaton will focus on bankruptcy cases and related litigation, director and officer litigation, and commercial litigation involving creditors’ rights. Shawde will also handle bid protest matters.
