Steven Fieldman honored by the City of Shanghai
STEVEN D. FIELDMAN, left,

The award is a municipal honor given to expatriates for their contributions to the city’s economic, social, or cultural development. The white magnolia, whose petals always look skyward, is the city’s flower, symbolizing a pioneering and enterprising spirit. Fieldman said he was nominated for the award by Shanghai University of Finance & Economics. Since 1998, Fieldman has been living in China practicing law full-time, teaching part-time, and engaging in business. “The Silver Magnolia is a great honor, and I am most appreciative of all those who made this possible,” he said. Shanghai is the largest city in China and the largest city proper in the world. In 2012, the population of Shanghai municipality was 23,710,000.
