Jeffrey S. Respler has been named partner at Hyman & Mars in Miami-Dade County. Respler concentrates in negotiation, mediation, and litigation of construction and design defect claims.

Danielle Lassiter has joined Cathleen Scott & Associates in Jupiter. Lassiter will be handling employment and labor law litigation.

Carlos M. Rodriguez has joined Weiss Serota Helfman Pastoriza Cole & Boniske as of counsel in the Miami-Dade office. Rodriguez focuses on health care, software, real estate, construction, property management, manufacturing, horticultural, health and fitness, wholesale, retail, financial institutions, and professional services.

Adriana Blanco Maurisset has joined Tenzer Delgado in Miami as a member of the real estate and hospitality practice groups.

Alan Kipnis of Arnstein & Lehr has moved from the firm’s Ft. Lauderdale office to the Miami office. He focuses in the areas of commercial, business, banking, construction, and complex litigation.

Jennifer Kisko has joined GrayRobinson in Orlando and will work in the intellectual property group. Kisko focuses on patent issues related to the life sciences industry.

Shane T. Costello has joined Hill Ward Henderson in Tampa as an associate in the real property litigation group. Costello focuses on litigation involving real estate and land use issues, as well as complex commercial litigation.

Patrick McArdle has joined Grossman Roth & Patridge as an associate. McArdle will focus on personal injury law and commercial litigation.

William Riley has joined GrayRobinson in Miami as a shareholder in the public law and land use practice group.

Carol E. Thorstad-Forsyth has been elevated to partner of Fox Rothschild in West Palm Beach. Thorstad-Forsyth focuses on intellectual property law.

Tom Serafin has joined Rogers Towers in Jacksonville as an associate in the real estate department.

Charles J. Duffy III has joined Katz, Barron, Squitero, Faust, Friedberg, English & Allen in Ft. Lauderdale as a partner. Duffy focuses on private equity, mergers and acquisitions, real estate development, Internet/technology, and electronic commerce.

Ronald W. Warner and Justin B. Davis
have joined Blank Rome as associates in the consumer finance litigation group. Warner is based in Boca Raton and concentrates in consumer finance litigation and has experience with motions practice, oral argument, depositions, pretrial discovery, and trial. Davis is in Tampa and represents lenders and financial institutions in a variety of consumer finance litigation matters.

Anthony R. McClure has relocated to Porter Wright’s Naples office from Columbus, OH. McClure focuses on complex commercial litigation disputes, contractual and mortgage disputes, tort litigation, administrative appeals, legal malpractice, and environmental litigation.

Sarah Hilbert has joined Roetzel in Naples as an associate. Hilbert practices real estate law with an emphasis on commercial and residential transactions, distressed real estate, and real estate finance. Her practice also extends to corporate and business services.

Jason P. Jones has joined Carlton Fields in Miami as an associate. Jones practices in the firm’s corporate, securities, and tax practice group.

Erin Smith Aebel has been named co-chair of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick’s health law department in Tampa.

Kimberly Van Der Riet has joined Killgore, Pearlman, Stamp, Ornstein & Squires in Orlando as an associate. Van Der Riet practices in the areas of commercial litigation, construction law, and insurance defense.

Ryan Scott Nichols has joined Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick in Sarasota as an associate in the broker-dealer litigation practice group.

Patrick W. Luna has joined McConnaughhay, Duffy, Coonrod, Pope & Weaver in Pensacola. He will focus in the area of workers’ compensation defense.

Emily Wilkie has joined the Florida Department of Children and Families’ Children’s Legal Services in Daytona Beach for Circuit Seven in the Northeast Region.

Michael D. Dickenson has become an associate with Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser & Zoeller in West Palm Beach. Dickenson’s primary area of practice is PIP benefits litigation.

Mark Delegal and Josh Aubuchon have joined Holland & Knight in Tallahassee. Delegal has joined as a partner and Aubuchon as an associate. Both represent clients in the area of government and legislative affairs.

Robert A. McNeely has joined Messer Caparello in Tallahassee. McNeely focuses on complex family law litigation, entertainment and intellectual property law transactions and litigation, appellate law, Bar discipline defense, and animal law.

Denise A. Welter has joined the Shiner Law Group in Boca Raton as managing attorney for its wills, trusts, and estate planning division. In addition, the Shiner Law Group has moved to the 2nd Floor at 95 South Federal Highway, Boca Raton 33432.

Todd Sobel has become of counsel with MansonBolves in Tampa. Sobel focuses on eminent domain law and represents both private and public condemning authorities.

James O. (Joby) Birr III has joined Jimerson & Cobb in Jacksonville as a partner. Birr focuses on construction law and business litigation.

Hurley, Rogner, Miller, Cox, Waranch & Westcott has opened a Miami office located at the Brickell Bayview Center at 80 S.W. 8th Street. Partner Andrew Borah, who is board vertified as a specialist in workers’ compensation law, will manage the Miami-Dade office.

Salvatore G. Scro has joined Band Weintraub in Sarasota. Scro concentrates in complex construction, commercial and civil litigation, and business and real estate law.

Catherine T. Hollis has joined The Health Law Firm in Altamonte Springs. Her practice focuses on the representation of health professionals and licensed health facilities in litigation, licensing and disciplinary issues, contracts, appeals, administrative hearings, regulatory matters, and Medicare and Medicaid defense.

Rhodes, Tucker and Garretson of Marco Island merged with Phoenix File & Pagidipati of Ft. Myers, Naples, and Sanibel. Rhodes Tucker Garretson & Phoenix Chartered (known as “Rhodes Tucker”) combined the real estate, estate planning, probate, and mediation practices of the Rhodes, Tucker & Garretson firm with the real estate, litigation, restructuring, and corporate practice groups at Phoenix, File & Pagidipati. Rhodes Tucker will maintain the current offices of the merged firms at 12800 University Drive, Suite 240, Ft. Myers 33907; 800 N. Jacqueline Fortier has joined the Office of Garnett Harrison, P.C., in Kingsland, Georgia, as an associate. Fortier will practice in both Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.

Kristianna J. Lindgren has joined the Ocala office of McConnaughhay, Duffy, Coonrod, Pope & Weaver. She focuses her practice in the area of workers’ compensation defense.

Angel A. Cortiñas has joined Gunster in Miami as a shareholder. He will focus on white collar defense, complex litigation, receiverships, appeals, and arbitrations.

Tom Kay has been named the executive director of the Alachua Conservation Trust, a nonprofit land conservation trust located in Gainesville.

Elizabeth (Beth) King has joined the Rice & Rose Law Firm in Daytona Beach as an associate in the family law division.

Hope Calhoun has joined Becker & Poliakoff in Ft. Lauderdale and Miramar as shareholder in the government law and lobbying practice group. Calhoun focuses on local government and land use law.

Keith M. Poliakoff has joined Arnstein & Lehr in Ft. Lauderdale as its new Florida government relations co-chair. Poliakoff brings with him Michelle L. Klymko and Carol Capri Kalliche who will serve of counsel and special counsel, respectively, to the firm.

Allison E. Turnbull has joined Holland & Knight in Orlando as a partner. Turnbull focuses on land use and real estate development.

Theodore R. Walters has joined Porter Wright in Naples as a partner in the corporate department. Walters is a transactional real estate and trial lawyer with a background in banking, lending and general corporate matters. He is also board certified in international law.
