Hispanic judges to discuss their experiences with Stetson students

The Hispanic Bar Association of Stetson University College of Law and the Puerto Rican Bar Association of Florida will present “A Judge’s Perspective,” a panel discussion in which local Hispanic judges will share their views from the bench.

The panel of judges will speak about their journey to the bench, how their cultural background may have affected their choice in education, their practice, and their roles as attorneys serving the community.

The panelists will also discuss their expectations for today’s attorneys and how they would like to see the system evolve to better serve the needs of the growing Hispanic community.

The panel discussion will take place at Stetson’s Gulfport Campus November 5 at the Mann Lounge from 5-7 p.m.

The discussion will be followed by a dinner. Expected panelists include Judge Wilfredo Martinez of Orlando, Judge William Fuente of Tampa, and retired Judge E.J. Salcines.
