Board of Governors vacancy exists in the 13th Circuit

Executive Director John F. Harkness, Jr., has announced a vacancy on the Board of Governors of The Florida Bar due to the election of 13th Circuit board member William J. Schifino, Jr., as president-elect designate. Schifino was finishing a two-year term on the board in Seat 1.

The office commences on June 26, and continues for a term ending June 17, 2016, or until a successor is elected and qualifies.

Pursuant to Rule 2-3.9, nominating petitions for the vacancy must be filed with the office of the executive director on or before 5 p.m., March 2. Election ballots will be mailed on or before April 1 and voted ballots must be received prior to midnight, April 22.

Nominating petitions for the 13th Circuit, Seat 1 vacancy must be signed by no fewer than five members in good standing whose official Bar address is in the 13th Judicial Circuit.
