Depositions Clarification

Our office has received a few calls regarding our November 15 Florida Registered Paralegal Corner on the subject of “depositions.”

To clarify, a paralegal may not take or attend a deposition without an attorney. In other words, an attorney may bring a paralegal to a deposition for administrative purposes, but a paralegal may not conduct or defend a deposition.
