Rue & Ziffra works for Wounded Warrior Project

The Port Orange-based law firm of Rue & Ziffra recently helped to sponsor the Wounded Warrior Project’s annual fundraiser, which netted more than $10,000 for the nonprofit organization.

“We were proud to be able to participate in an event that gives something back to America’s men and women who have been injured while serving our country,” said Allan L. Ziffra, president of the firm.

The Wounded Warrior Project — headquartered in Jacksonville — was founded in Roanoke, VA, by a group of veterans and friends who wanted to help injured service men and women.

The nonpartisan agency, with additional offices in New York and Washington, is run by a team with civilian and military experience that provides organizational structure and quality programs for those injured.

The money raised will go to the Wounded Warrior Project and The Fisher House Foundation, an agency that provides temporary housing for military families so they can be close to loved ones during treatments, Carroll said.
