BOARD CERTIFIED LAWYER MARK P. TERRY of Miami climbed the North Ridge route of Wyoming’s Grand Teton July 24–25, and paused at the summit with a specially designed Florida Bar board certification flag. Terry serves on the Intellectual Property Law Certification Committee and hopes to use his post to encourage new applicants. Terry says he contracted “climbing fever” during college in Washington, D.C. Since then, Terry has been on a journey to find increasingly more difficult climbs. His quest went international, with visits to rock formations in Peru, Thailand, France, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Cuba, the Cayman Islands, as well as all over the United States. The Grand Teton’s North Ridge route featured about 1,000 feet of vertical, roped rock climbing and is one of the only alpine rock climbs in the lower 48 states.
