The Pankauski Law Firm will hold its Second Annual Pankauski Pour wine tasting to benefit the Legal Aid Society of the Palm Beaches on February 22.
The Pankauski Pour is a charitable event pairing wines and local food. The Pour offers attendees the chance to sample upscale, unique wines from across the globe, including a number of small production boutique wines from California. Attendees will also have the chance to sample outstanding cuisine to accompany the wine.
Last year approximately 200 people attended the pour and more than 500 are expected this year for the 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. wine tasting. The entire city block of South Olive Avenue, between Clematis and Datura, will be shut down for the event
“Wine is the perfect thing to bring people together,” said John Pankauski, managing member of the firm. “People love great food and good wine.”
Attendees will have an opportunity to sample unique, small batch and hand-crafted wines that may have been previously unavailable to them.”
The event will benefit the Legal Aid Society of the Palm Beaches, a nonprofit that provides legal services and support to those in the community who need advocacy and guidance the most, but who can afford it the least. Last year the Pankauski Pour raised almost $10,000.
“The legal aid society is pleased again to be the recipient of the fine work of the Pankauski Pour,” said said Executive Director Bob Bertisch. “In these trying economic times, the financial support of our community is needed more than ever, and this event raises precious funds for our organization as well as bringing together a number of community leaders and friends to share great wine and food.”
Advanced tickets may be purchased for $30 by calling the Legal Aid Society of the Palm Beaches at (561) 655-8944, ext 365. Tickets are $35 on the day of the event. Parking is available at city garages on the SE corners of Banyan and South Olive Avenue and on the NE corner of Dixie and Evernia.
