The Florida Association for Women Lawyers’ inaugural Women’s Leadership Summit will be held March 17, in conjunction with FAWL’s annual Lobby Day March 16 in Tallahassee.
Modeled after mentoring-style Women’s Initiative programs across the country, FAWL’s first Women’s Leadership Summit is themed “Inspiring Advancement for Women Lawyers in the Workplace, the Community & the Profession.”
“The summit’s goal is to provide access to programs specifically designed for women to grow their professional success in a tough economy, and to look at methods for achieving meaningful advancement for Florida’s women lawyers,” said FAWL President Gigi Rollini.
Presenters include Bar President Mayanne Downs; National Association of Women Lawyers President and AT&T Counsel Dorian Denburg; Florida Senate Minority Leader Nan Rich; and Judge Gill Freeman, former chair of the Supreme Court’s Gender Bias Commission.
FAWL will also offer a “Celebration of Florida’s Women Leaders” Networking Reception and a Legislative Luncheon for anyone looking to network with the judiciary, elected officials, Bar leaders, and FAWL members from across the state.
Registration is open to the public with priority to FAWL members through www.fawl.org, which also contains further details on pricing, lodging, and venue.
