JUDGE JACQUELINE HOGAN SCOLA JUDGE JACQUELINE HOGAN SCOLA awaits a serve at the Hispanic National Bar Association’s tennis tournament for attorneys, judges, and law students recently at the Crandon Park Tennis Center in Key Biscayne – home of the Sony Ericsson Open. The HNBA’s inaugural tournament was attended by over 200 attorneys, judges, and law students from South Florida and across the country. Proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships totaling more than $23,000 benefitted the HNBA Legal Education Fund, which distributes scholarships for Hispanic law students. “One of my goals was to expand the HNBA’s presence in South Florida by bringing the legal community together in a new format that was conducive to networking and building relationships,” said Teresita Chavez Pedrosa, HNBA Florida Region president. “We are delighted with the turnout, our sponsor support, and the response from our guests and the legal community. We have heard nothing but positive accolades from everyone who attended, and next year we will do it all again.”
