The Florida Bar’s Law Office Management Assistance Service is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The LOMAS program provides a wide range of law practice management information, services, and products to Bar members.

After almost a year of development, the General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section has launched its new home on the web — www.gpssf.org. The retooled website includes several new user-friendly features, including a versatile member-search page, an enhanced section calendar, an extensive set of links, and the new centerpiece of the site — a built-in blog known as The Small-Firm Adventure.

Mark your calendars. The place to be Saturday, November 13, is Hialeah, where the 7th Minority Mentoring Picnic unfolds from noon to 4 p.m. at Amelia Earhart Park, 401 East 65th Street. Guests of honor are minority law school students from all law schools in Florida, invited to convene for an afternoon of great food and camaraderie with Florida’s lawyers and judges, who are willing to share real-life experiences.
