Bar President Gwynne Young has chosen “Inclusion: The Path to Unity” as the theme of the Bar’s 2013 Annual Convention, which will return to the Boca Raton Resort & Club June 26-29, and will feature many legal speakers and advocates.
"Gwynne Young is quite proud of the progress The Florida Bar has made with its diversity initiatives, but during her term her goal is to do even more to foster an inclusive environment in which lawyers, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, physical, or mental disability are motivated to succeed professionally and contribute to the goals of their profession," said Michelle Suskauer, the convention's chair. "She believes that inclusion with respect to legal education, legal employment, Bar activities, and the judiciary will continue to make The Florida Bar a model for lawyers all over the country. Our choice for a theme for this year's Annual Convention is reflective of her own philosophy for life, but serves also as an invitation and welcome to all who want to learn more about The Florida Bar: "Inclusion - The Path to Unity."
As always, convention attendees can take advantage of multiple CLE seminars for one fee, and the event features the annual Thursday Judicial Luncheon. It also provides an opportunity to meet with the justices of the Florida Supreme Court and network with fellow attorneys and judges, as well as browse the Lawyers’ Marketplace for the most efficient products and services available in today’s legal environment.
