J.B. Harris was selected by The Florida Bar Journal Editorial Board as the 2009 recipient of the Excellence in Writing award for his article, “Riding the Red Rocket: Amendment 7 and the End to Discovery Immunity of Adverse Medical Incidents in the State of Florida,” which appeared in the March 2009 issue.
Each year, a committee of the editorial board selects a recipient for the award based on the writing quality, substance, difficulty, and style of the article.
J.B. Harris is a trial lawyer in Miami. He received his J.D. from Emory University School of Law and his M.A. from Johns Hopkins University (SAIS). He is experienced in handling complex personal injury, wrongful death, and mass tort cases arising from faulty products, including cigarettes, plane crashes, automobile defects, environmental hazards, and other corporate negligence.
