The 11th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission is now taking applications to fill a vacancy on the Miami-Dade County Court resulting from the elevation of Judge Antonio Arzola to the Miami-Dade circuit bench.
Applicants must have been members of the Bar for the preceding five years, registered voters, and must reside in the territorial jurisdiction of the court at the time of assuming office.
Applications may be downloaded from www.floridabar.org. As determined by the JNC Rules Convention, applicants are to use the existing form of application and not the new form posted after November 11.
An original and 10 copies of the completed application must be received by Andrés Rivero, JNC Chair, c/o Rivero Mestre & Castro, 2525 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Suite 1000, Coral Gables 33134 no later than 5 p.m. on November 25. The inclusion of a photograph is encouraged.
