Kathleen S. McLeroy of Carlton Fields in Tampa spoke on the “Nuts and Bolts of Commercial Foreclosures” at the Through the Looking Glass: Foreclosure Litigation From a Lender’s Perspective seminar in St. Petersburg.
Edward H. Davis Jr., of Astigarraga Davis in Miami spoke on "The Magic of 28 U.S.C. 1782: How to Obtain Evidence in the U.S. for Use in Your Domestic Proceedings” at the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States Bar Association’s Annual Law Fair in Dominica. Davis also co-chaired a panel, titled “Perspectives from the Bench on Threats to Judicial Independence.”
Joseph Englander of Shutts & Bowen in Miami has been appointed to the Anti-Counterfeiting Committee of the International Trademark Association. Englander was appointed for the 2010-2011 term.
Timothy L. Finkenbinder of the Law Office of Timothy L. Finkenbinder, P.A., was recently elected secretary and treasurer of the Osceola County Bar. He also serves on the board of directors for the Kissimmee/Osceola Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council and as president of the Downtown Kissimmee Leads Group.

John L. Moore and Kimberly Page Walker of Williams Parker in Sarasota presented at the Gulf Coast Chapter of Professional Association of Health Care Office Management Seminar. Moore spoke on the topic of “Negotiating Managed Healthcare Contracts,” and Walker provided an employment law update.
George Barford, of counsel with Carlton Fields in St. Petersburg, moderated a panel discussion on the Employee Free Choice Act before the Academy of Florida Management Attorneys in Palm Beach.
