The Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission is now accepting applications to fill the vacancy on the Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel to serve the Second District Court of Appeal, resulting from the death of Jackson Flyte.

Applicants must have been a member in good standing of The Florida Bar or a similar organization in another state for the preceding five years. Applications can be obtained on the Florida Bar Web site at www.floridabar.org.

An original and nine copies of the completed application and all attachments must be delivered to Jason Unger, SCJNC Chair, GrayRobinson, P.A., 301 S. Bronough Street, Suite 600, Tallahassee 32301, no later than 5 p.m., March 8.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their applications at the earliest time possible so as to provide the JNC with ample time to evaluate them and conduct necessary background investigations and interviews.

After the March 8 due date, the JNC will meet to review all applications and decide which candidates will be interviewed and will notify those selected promptly thereafter.
