Amber N. Davis has become a partner/shareholder with Beusse Wolter Sanks Mora & Maire in Orlando. Davis focuses on trademark law.

Y. Lisa Colon Heron has been named a partner of Smith, Currie & Hancock in Ft. Lauderdale. Heron is board certified in construction law and is experienced in government contracting claims from compliance, small business issues, bid protests, and claims litigation.

Daniel M. Carrico joined Smith, Currie & Hancock in Ft. Lauderdale as an associate. His practice is focused on construction litigation.

G. Paul Lemieux has joined The Law Offices of Kelly J. Hilmes, Esq., LLC., in Indialantic and will focus on family law.

Katherine Hurst Miller has become a partner with Cobb Cole in Daytona Beach. Miller practices general civil litigation with a focus on insurance law, condominium and homeowner association law, contract disputes, and torts.

Sonia M. Diaz has become a partner in Coleman, Hazzard & Taylor in Naples. Diaz focuses her practice on litigation and dispute resolution.

Lynn L. Audie, Patrick K. Dahl, Kevin A. Houston, and Charlene C. Poblete have been promoted to partner in Wicker Smith O’Hara McCoy and Ford and Michael C. Tyson has become a shareholder. Dahl, in Ft. Poblete, in the Jacksonville office, focuses in the areas of medical and legal malpractice, insurance agent-broker errors and omissions, premises liability, and products liability, defending claims. Tyson, in Orlando, focuses on medical malpractice, premises liability, negligent security, trucking litigation, general civil litigation, and appellate law.

Pablo Meles has joined Duane Morris in Boca Raton as special counsel in the intellectual property practice group. Meles focuses on patent, trademark, and copyright law.

Hans Hertell has joined Hogan Lovells in Miami as an associate in the litigation, arbitration, and employment practice and the international arbitration practice. Hertell focuses his practice on international litigation and arbitration of commercial and investor-state disputes, including derivative litigation in U.S. federal and state courts.

Alexander M. Turner has joined Green & Kahn in Miami Beach as an associate practicing real estate, probate, wills, and trusts.

José Javier Rodríguez has joined Kelley/Uustal in Ft. Lauderdale. Rodríguez focuses on complex litigation related to business and commercial disputes, dangerous and defective products, financial misconduct, and personal injury matters.
Pleat & Perry, with offices in Destin, Navarre, and Rosemary Beach, has changed its name to Pleat, Perry & Ritchie, recognizing the contributions of partner William J. “West” Ritchie. Robert R. “Bob” Klostermeyer also has joined the firm’s Destin office and concentrates his practice in community association law, municipal law, civil law, and juvenile law.

Joseph M. Goldstein has been named managing partner of Shutts & Bowen’s Ft. Lauderdale office. Goldstein is a member of the business litigation practice group.

Jennifer L. Griffin has joined Quarles & Brady in Tampa as a partner in the trusts and estates practice group.
Griffin’s practice primarily focuses on the administration of estates and trusts, the specific representation of fiduciaries (personal representatives, trustees, trust protectors, designated representatives, etc.), and beneficiaries, as to their rights and obligations involved in the administration of estates and trusts, assisting in the resolution of disputes arising from the administration of estates and trusts, and assisting individuals and families with wealth planning and preservation through the creation of customized estate plans.

Paolo Meireles has joined the Shavitz Law Group in Boca Raton as an associate. Meireles will be working on the firm’s wage and hour class-collective actions.

Robert Rosenberg has joined the panel of mediators and arbitrators of ATD Mediation & Arbitration, P.A., with offices located within Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach counties.

Julio C. Esquivel of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick in Tampa has become a member of the firm’s national management committee.

Gregory D. Lee, Jessica Parker Malchow, and Michael S. Vitale were named partners with BakerHostetler in Orlando. Lee practices in the business group, primarily representing clients in land use, real estate development, government relations, and local government law. Malchow is a member of the business group, real estate team, and green business and sustainability team. Michael Vitale practices in the complex business litigation group, focusing on business torts, contract law, appeals, real estate and land use litigation, complex litigation, construction disputes, intellectual property litigation, and federal civil tort defense.

Javier F. Aviñó has become a partner with Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod in Miami. Aviñó represents clients in the land development approval process, including DERM permitting, planning and zoning applications, code enforcement, and comprehensive planning. He also has extensive experience representing restaurants, nightclubs, and hotels in liquor licensing matters.

Alan E. Krinzman has joined Assouline & Berlowe in its Miami office and will head the firm’s real estate department.

Christin Coleman Gallardo has joined Wintter & Associates in Hollywood as a probate, trust, and guardianship litigation attorney.

Marci A. Rubin has become a partner of Phillips, Cantor & Shalek in Hollywood, which will now be known as Phillips, Cantor, Shalek & Rubin. Rubin practices in the areas of community associations, real estate, and corporate transactional law.

Marc D. Pacin and Mark A. Levine have formed Pacin Levine, P.A., in Coral Gables, focusing on personal injury, family law, and commercial litigation.

Tamara Y. Demko has become executive director of the Florida TaxWatch Center for Health and Aging in Tallahassee.
