Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed has combined with Mount Dora-based Potter Clement Bergholtz Alexander. The attorneys previously with Potter Clement Bergholtz Alexander will continue their practice with the Lowndes firm under the name of Potter Clement Lowndes, a full-service firm.

Kristina Garcia Szurkus has joined Winderweedle, Haines, Ward & Woodman in Winter Park. Szurkus focuses on civil and white collar criminal litigation, including substantive knowledge in false claims, civil rights, RICO, bankruptcy law, and appellate law.

Robert “Bob” Schumaker has joined GrayRobinson in Tampa in the real estate practice group. Schumaker focuses on structuring and drafting documentation for purchase and sale agreements, as well as asset-based lending transactions. He also structures and drafts workouts of defaulted loans in connection to bankruptcy, foreclosure, and other litigation.

Earnest DeLoach, Jr., has joined Gunster in Orlando as a shareholder. DeLoach focuses on litigation, transactional, business development, administrative, and corporate formation matters.

David C. Dowell has joined Fisher Rushmer in Orlando as an associate. He practices in the areas of immigration, bankruptcy, and real estate law.

Daniel Nordby has joined Shutts & Bowen in Tallahassee as a partner. He focuses on matters of law and public policy.

Douglas Mark Kramer has joined Shutts & Bowen in Miami as a partner and member of the international dispute resolution group.

Jorge A. Perez Santiago and Ashley C. Drumm have joined Carlton Fields Jorden Burt as associates. Santiago is based in Miami and works in the appellate practice and trial support practice group. Drumm is based in West Palm Beach and is a member of the products and toxic tort liability practice group.

Michelle Hollister has formed the Law Offices of Michelle R. Hollister, P.A., in Boca Raton. The firm will focus on elder law and estate planning.

Heidi Milan Caballero has joined McGinnis Wutscher Beiramee in Ft. Lauderdale as senior counsel practicing in the appellate, commercial, and consumer credit litigation groups.

Kelly A. McGovern, Krista DeCastro, and Harris J. Shain have joined Tenzer in Miami. McGovern will head the firm’s commercial litigation practice, representing corporate and individual clients in complex business matters. DeCastro focuses on the representation of private and institutional investors and lenders, buyers and sellers, and landlords and tenants on a wide range of real estate transactions. Shain represents both domestic and international clients in a wide variety of matters, including acquisitions, real estate, hospitality, finance, and other general corporate matters.

Remtulla is a member of the financial institutions advocacy group where he represents residential mortgage lenders and servicers in litigation claims arising out of contested foreclosures, the Truth in Lending Act, the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, and other regulatory issues.
