James Armstrong, Jessica Rose, Samantha Stevins, Kyle Alexander Bedran, Aaron Ernest Brown, and Jennifer Marie Watson have joined the Fourth Circuit Public Defender’s Office. Armstrong becomes a felony court division chief, also handling major crimes. Rose becomes assistant public defender in felony court. Stevins joins the felony court unit in the major crimes division. Bedran has been assigned to the county court unit. Brown also joins the county court unit as APD. Watson also becomes APD in county court.

Ronald Scott Kaniuk and Ele Zachariades have joined Sachs Sax Caplan in Boca Raton. Kaniuk is a senior counsel practicing in the firm’s community associations practice group. Zachariades is an associate in the corporate, transactional and land use, and death care law practice groups.

David W. Grossman has joined Wadsworth, Huott as a partner in the Miami office. Grossman is a board certified civil trial lawyer.

Robson Powers has joined Michael P. Maddux, P.A., as managing attorney at the firm’s new satellite office, 2567 N. Toledo Blade Blvd., Suite 2, in North Port. Powers focuses on criminal defense, personal injury, and civil rights litigation.

Albert Lechner joined Terrell Hogan in Jacksonville. Lechner’s practice will focus on jury trial cases, with an emphasis on medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, defective products, and premises liability.

Susan F. Greenhawt has opened a firm in Ft. Lauderdale concentrating in the mediation of marital and family law disputes and is also available for appointment as a private judge and special magistrate. Her new office is located within the offices of Chorowski & Associates, P.A., 600 S. Andrews Avenue, Second Floor, Ft. Lauderdale 33301.

Joshua N. Goldglantz has joined Berger Singerman in Ft. Lauderdale as an associate. Goldglantz focuses his practice on trusts and estates.

Brian F. Moore has joined Sheftall & Torres in Jacksonville. His primary areas of practice are commercial litigation, business transactions, and personal injury.

Adan “Adam” A. Aulet, Jr., has joined the Law Offices of Alice Reiter Feld and Associates in Tamarac as an associate. The firm focuses on elder law, including public benefits, special needs, estate planning, and asset protection.

Leigh Anne Miller has joined Fisher, Rushmer, Werrenrath, Dickson, Talley & Dunlap in Orlando as an associate.

Amy C. Shea has joined Kubicki Draper in Pensacola where she will focus on handling general insurance defense litigation and construction litigation.

Diana Matson and Colin Blackwood have joined McGlinchey Stafford in Ft. Lauderdale and Daniel Pasky has joined the firm’s Jacksonville office. Matson has joined as of counsel and handles commercial and consumer financial services litigation, including contested foreclosures, title defense, and real estate litigation. Blackwood joins as an associate and focuses on consumer financial services litigation involving real estate, bankruptcy, and creditors’ rights and foreclosures. Pasky joins as an associate and focuses on consumer financial services litigation involving real estate, foreclosures, bankruptcy, and creditors’ rights.

Richard Akin joined Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt in Ft. Myers and will serve in the tort and insurance litigation and commercial litigation practice areas.

Stacey Cole Ibarra has joined Gunster in West Palm Beach as of counsel. Ibarra is a member of the business litigation practice.

Amy Bandow has accepted the position of assistant director of the Center for Ethics, Service, and Professionalism at Cooley Law School’s Tampa Bay campus.

Steven M. Malono has been appointed in-house corporate counsel for the Florida Healthy Kids Corporation in Tallahassee.

Adams and Reese has established a Tallahassee office by combining with Igler & Dougherty. A. George Igler will serve as partner in charge of the Tallahassee office. P. Hutchison “Hutch” Brock II has formed Brock Law in Wesley Chapel. The firm will handle personal injury cases, particularly auto accidents, wrongful death, negligent security, premises liability, medical malpractice, and general civil litigation claims.

Florida-based Carlton Fields has opened an office in New York City with attorneys previously associated with Rosner & Napierala. Carlton Fields’ new office is located near Wall Street at 26 Broadway, 22nd Floor, in New York City, in the iconic Standard Oil building, which was designated as a New York City Landmark in 1995.

The Carlin Law Firm has merged with Golden & LaNeve in Ft. Lauderdale. Justin C. Carlin will continue his practice as an associate at Golden & LaNeve concentrating in the areas of commercial litigation, real estate litigation, business and corporate law, and marital and family law.

Myra J. Fried has opened her own firm in Palm Beach County, concentrating on criminal and civil appellate law.
