E-filing company added to Bar member benefit lineup

Regular News

A company offering software to help Florida lawyers do electronic filing through the state court system’s online portal has become the latest member of the Bar’s Member Benefits Program.

The Board of Governors in September approved adding eFileMadeEasy as a member benefit.

According to information provided to the board, the program was designed to work specifically with the court system’s portal and to work from within a law office’s word processing program. It is designed to take advantage of e-filing benefits while also addressing challenges raised by electronic submission of court documents.

That information states, “eFileMadeEasy streamlines the entire e-filing process to a simple button click from right within the word processing program. The tools allow for complete legal pleading preparation including attaching exhibits with separator pages, group e-filing,. . . and tools specifically designed for legal pleadings. E-filing with the Florida portal and e-service with eFileMadeEasy takes less than five seconds and is button- click simple. All pleadings submitted through eFileMadeEasy are completely compliant with all rules, scrubbed of all metadata, and text searchable.”

The company has been offering a free 15-day trial, but Bar members who go through the Member Benefits program will get a free 30-day trial. In addition, after paying for the second month of service, the company will pick up the tab for the third month. Bar members will also get a 10 percent discount on their monthly bill.
