THE FLORIDA BOARD OF BAR EXAMINERS held its annual staff awards luncheon in Tallahassee April 7. Board members presented staff with merit and longevity awards, and Ellen “Lou” Walker was recognized as the recipient of the 2011 Brandi Cawthon Alvarado Award for exemplifying the ideals and high standards of the Board of Bar Examiners. “We all serve a common purpose: to safeguard our judicial system,” said Board Chair Jerry Gewirtz in his closing remarks to staff members. “We’re proud to be a part of such a tremendous organization.”
