The Ninth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission is now accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the circuit bench, resulting from the resignation of Judge Thomas B. Smith.
Applicants must have been a member of The Florida Bar for the preceding five years, a registered voter and must be a resident of the territorial jurisdiction of the court at the time he or she assumes office.
Applications can be downloaded from The Florida Bar’s web site at www.floridabar.org and are also available from Michael J. Snure, JNC Chair, 1150 Louisiana Avenue, Suite One, Winter Park 32789, or Post Office Box 2728, Winter Park 32790, phone (407) 644-7600.
An original and nine copies of the completed application and attachments must be delivered to Snure no later than 5 p.m., August 12. Be sure to use a photograph on or as the cover page to the application.
