15th Circuit Board of Governors seat available
Executive Director John F. Harkness, Jr., has announced a vacancy on the Board of Governors of The Florida Bar due to the election of 15th Circuit board member Michelle Suskauer as president-elect designate. Suskauer was finishing out a two-year term on the board in Seat 3.
The office commences on June 23 or at the conclusion of the election and continues for a term ending June 15, 2018, or until a successor is elected and qualifies.
Pursuant to Rule 2-3.9, nominating petitions for the vacancy must be filed with the office of the Executive Director on or before 5 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2017. Election ballots will be mailed on or before Monday, May 22 and voted ballots must be received prior to midnight, June 12.
Nominating petitions for the 15th Circuit, Seat 3 vacancy must be signed by no fewer than five members in good standing whose official Bar address is in the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit.
