24Green ball IconOrange County Bar Association - Law Week luncheon on April 24, at which time the Liberty Bell Award will be presented to an organization or member of the community outside the traditional legal profession that demonstrates a deep commitment to the rule of law, poster contest winners will be recognized for their work and receive ribbons, and the student whose speech has earned the highest accolades will present it to attorneys and judges during the celebratory Law Week luncheon. 25Green ball IconSouth Palm Beach County Bar Association - Law Day celebration and in coordination with “Project Nuremberg,” a Holocaust awareness project founded by Temple Beth El of Boca Raton and Lynn University, is pleased to announce an essay contest open to all middle and high school students in South Palm Beach County. The Project Nuremberg luncheon will be held on April 25 from noon-2 p.m. at Temple Beth El, 333 SW 4th Avenue, Boca Raton.
26Green ball IconLee County Bar Association – “Law in the Mall” is an opportunity for citizens of Lee County to receive free legal advice. The event will be held on April 26, from 10 a.m-2 p.m. at the Edison Mall, 4125 Cleveland Ave., Ft. Myers. Individual consultations are given on a wide variety of topics. The public is encouraged to bring all relevant documents with them to "Law in the Mall." At the event, there are also several hourly seminars for general education on topics such as Bankruptcy & Foreclosure, Representing Yourself in Small Claims Court, Family Law, and Simple Wills & Powers of Attorney. The luncheon speaker will be Cesar Sastre, General Counsel to Bass Underwriters, Inc., husband, father to teenagers, and soccer coach. 28Green ball IconSarasota County Bar Association - Law week will be celebrated during the week of April 28. Local attorneys will go to Sarasota County schools and visit the 5th grade classrooms. The class will perform a mock trial, based on a script that is provided in advance.
