He worked alongside Martin Luther King, Jr. for voting rights and school integration, defended Rosa Parks after her refusal to give up her seat on a Montgomery city bus, sued the Federal Government on behalf of the men exploited by the Tuskegee Syphilis experiment, and was elected the first African American President of the Alabama Bar Association. Mr. Gray will have copies of his book, Bus Ride to Justice, for sale and there will be an opportunity for autographs after his talk. All program registrants are welcome and there is no additional charge to attend.
