Help for Homeowners
The Florida Attorneys Saving Homes program is recruiting attorneys to work with local mediation programs to represent eligible homeowners in foreclosure mediation. If you are at risk of foreclosure, consider contacting your local FREE housing counselor. (Find lists of these offices at www.hud.gov or The NeighborWorks National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling Program.) If you have been served with a foreclosure summons and complaint, contact your local legal aid office IMMEDIATELY. These offices can be found at www.floridalawhelp.org under "Find Local Assistance." You may also want to contact The Florida Bar Lawyer Referral Service for a referral to an attorney for a low fee consultation (1-800-342-8011).
