Constitutional Judiciary Committee
The charge of the Constitutional Judiciary Committee is to strengthen the public’s understanding of the role of the judicial branch of government, the Constitution, the rule of law, and the role of judges and juries in the administration of justice.

Benchmarks: Raising the Bar on Civics Education is a Florida Bar program to give adults a refresher course on civics so they can better understand how government works, particularly the judiciary. At The Florida Bar Fall Meeting at the Tampa Airport Marriott, the Benchmarks seminar on Friday, Oct. 21, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., will focus on the upcoming Constitution Revision Commission. After attending the session, attorneys will be able to take the “Every 20 Years” presentation to civic groups in their communities. The seminar offers 1.5 Hours General Credit and .5 Ethics. A webinar about the Benchmarks presentation “Every 20 Years” was recorded in cooperation with the Young Lawyers Division. Annette Pitts, executive director of The Florida Law Related Education Association, explains both the Benchmarks program and the presentation designed to educate the public about the upcoming Constitution Revision Commission, which convenes every 20 years. Those who watch the webinar are considered trained for presenting Benchmarks activities.
