Mr. Arnold began his law career in 1938 and recalls vividly the people and circumstances shaping the long course of his practice. This interview with Center staff member Beverly Lewis, held in Mr. Arnold's Jacksonville office, offers a personal conversation with a plain-spoken advocate of the attorney's duty to be of help to people in crisis. Mr. Arnold talks about the changes he made in his own law practice after the experience of command on a Navy vessel in the Pacific during WWII. One of Jacksonville's highest-profile and most-respected lawyers offers a challenge to younger attorneys in their attention to detailed preparation and their relationships with clients.
