APPROVED for 8 hours VA Accreditation Advanced CLEs. Learn advanced legal issues related to claims for VA benefits. Includes presentations by Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) staff. Attendees will learn relevant federal laws and procedural rules of the (VA) in the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) claims process and fiduciary appointment process. Sessions will include insights from VA and VBA staff who have processed claims and who are at the forefront of assisting the VBA in streamlining application processing and fiduciary services. The course will also include a session presented by a Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Medical Center social worker on the VHA Geriatric and Extended Care program for long-term care benefits and services , and a session on presumptive medical conditions for service connected benefits presented by a VHA Medical Services physician.
