The course will introduce basic concepts, ethical considerations and explore consumer law connections to all areas of practice. Participants will learn what is involved in starting a consumer law practice, federal consumer laws and how to analyze potential cases, the basics regarding auto fraud, class actions, debt collection, credit reporting, foreclosure and warranties and hear from top consumer advocates about the practice of consumer law.
