This seminar is meant to provide Florida lawyers and compliance officers a great overview of health care regulatory and compliance issues impacting a range of providers, including hospitals, home health agencies and skilled nursing facilities. Health Care Executive, Risk Managers and Privacy Officers will benefit as well. The areas that will be covered range from federal and state fraud and abuse provisions and new HIPAA rules, to the role of quality with compliance. The seminar will also cover the qualities of an effective compliance program as well as recent Florida investigations and settlements. A speaker from Safe Guard, the government contractor for CMS for Florida for ZPICs, will provide real life insight about the issues they are handling.
