Course No. 1014R

This seminar is designed to educate both real estate practitioners as well as estate planning, probate and trust law practitioners about the use of land trusts. This seminar will be of assistance to lawyers practicing in the areas of business litigation and civil trial to the extent the matters involve land trusts. This seminar will not only educate its participants on the history of land trusts but will also provide them with current information regarding the Florida Land Trust Act. In order to appeal to a broad range of practitioners, the course will address the land trust issues to consider on topics such as financing considerations, title concerns, homestead issues, asset protection issues and tax considerations. The unique aspects of land trusts may also create certain ethical concerns which need to be taken into consideration when using land trusts. Participants will be educated on the overall selection of a land trust entity and how a land trust compares with other forms of ownership
