Lee County
The Lee County Foreclosure Task Force
sponsors monthly workshops, with attorneys present to help answer questions. Workshops are held on the first Friday of the month (Spanish workshop); second Saturday and the third Thursday of the month. Miami-Dade
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8:30 to 11 a.m., Dade Legal Aid Foreclosure Attorney screens and assists indigent foreclosure clients on a walk-in basis. No appointment is necessary but you must bring income verification and necessary documentation related to your case. On the first Wednesday of the month, Dade County Bar Association hosts LegalLine, a free anonymous call in program staffed by various private and public sector pro bono attorneys and law firms who answer any legal questions callers may have. On the second and fourth Thursday of each month, Legal Aid/Put Something Back + Legal Services conduct pro se small claims clinics to help pro se litigants with their cases. Legal Aid/Put Something Back and the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida offer a free monthly clinic at the U.S. Bankruptcy Courthouse, 51 SW 1 Ave., Courtroom 1410, in downtown, Miami to assist pro se debtors with their cases. At the clinic, there is a 45 minute video presentation outlining procedures for filing bankruptcy followed by a Q & A session and individual consultations. Osceola County
Tuesdays and Thursday beginning June 16, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., pre-foreclosure counseling and legal assistance is available through Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida in Kissimmee at 800 North Main St. Clients can call (800) 984-2920 for assistance.
Orange County
The Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association conducts a free Foreclosure Clinic for low-income residents who reside in Orange County. The clinic provides legal assistance and housing counseling. The Foreclosure Clinic operates Monday through Thursday of each week. All persons interested in obtaining assistance through this Foreclosure Clinic must make an appointment by calling (407) 841-8310. Walk-ins are not permitted.
