Proposed Court Rule Amendments

    JUVENILE COURT RULES COMMITTEE OUT-OF-CYCLE AMENDMENT
      The Juvenile Court Rules Committee invites comment on a proposed out-of-cycle amendment to the Florida Rules of Juvenile Procedure shown below. The full text of the proposal can be found here. Interested persons have until, March 15, 2010, to submit comments electronically to Charles H. Davis, Chair, Juvenile Court Rules Committee, at charlesd@coj.net, with a copy to the committee’s staff liaison at esloyer@flabar.org.

    CIVIL PROCEDURE RULES COMMITTEE

      In the July 15, 2009, issue of the Bar News, the Civil Procedure Rules Committee invited comments on the proposed 3-year-cycle amendments to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure. After consideration of comments received, changes were made to proposed new rule 1.285. A brief explanation and the full text of the proposal can be found here. The 3-year-cycle report containing the proposed amendments will be filed with the court by February 1, 2010. Any person wishing to comment should submit written comments to the Supreme Court after February 1, 2010, pursuant to Fla.R.Jud.Admin. 2.140(b)(6).
