Priorities of the President
Diversity
The Florida Bar’s objective is to foster an inclusive environment in which lawyers, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability are motivated to succeed professionally and contribute to the goals of their profession.
The Vote's in YOUR COURT
The Florida Bar encourages you to learn more about judicial merit retention with our educational program The Vote’s in YOUR COURT. This coming November, you will be asked to vote whether to retain the justices and appeals court judges listed on the ballot. This is called judicial merit retention.
Kids Deserve Justice
The Kids Deserve Justice specialty license plate funds free legal services to low-income children in Florida, helping them reach their full potential.
The legal services are provided by not-for-profit organizations, including local legal aid societies and volunteer attorneys. The funds can also be used to work with the courts and other groups to improve how the broader justice system serves the needs of Florida's most vulnerable residents. Please support this initiative by purchasing a license plate
Funding Justice
The need for sufficient and stable funding of Florida’s courts is a constant one, but in recent years this need has become more urgent. The recession that gripped the United States forced significant cuts in court budgets and staff positions - even as Florida’s citizens and businesses turned to the courts in greater numbers.
Justice Teaching
Through Justice Teaching, legal professionals will work with schools throughout the state to educate youth about our legal system, the judiciary, and the rule of law.
