MIAMI -- The Eleventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission has been asked to provide Gov. Rick Scott with nominees for the vacancy in the Miami-Dade County Court resulting from the appointment of Judge Norma Lindsey to the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court.

All persons interested in applying must deliver a complete application and 10 copies to:

The deadline for submitting an application is Monday, Jan. 30, by 5 p.m. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Applications may be downloaded from The Florida Bar's website at www.floridabar.org. Including photographs is encouraged but not three-ring binders.

If applicants have applied to the JNC on or after Sept. 1, 2011, they may alternatively deliver letters requesting the JNC to consider their prior applications, but also must deliver two copies of their prior applications along with their letters by the deadline.

All questions in the application must be fully and completely answered. In addition, applications should include current and accurate contact information for judges, co-counsel, opposing counsel and references where requested as those individuals will be contacted. If there is requested information missing from an application, the Judicial Nominating Commission will consider that fact in its deliberations.
