The Twentieth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission announces a vacancy in the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court resulting from the pending retirement of Circuit Judge John W. Dommerich, effective April 1, 2012.

Applicants must have been members of The Florida Bar for the preceding five (5) years, registered voters and must reside in the territorial jurisdiction of the court at the of assuming office office.

An original and nine (9) copies of the completed application and attachments must be delivered to Jack O. Hackett II, Chair, (mailing and physical address: Farr, Farr, Emerich, Hackett and Carr, P.A., 99 Nesbit Street, Punta Gorda, FL 33950). The deadline for submission of the application is Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at 4 p.m. The submission of a photograph is encouraged. Incomplete applications, obsolete forms of applications, and applications received after the deadline may not be considered.

Interviews will be conducted on Thursday, December 15, and Friday, December 16, 2011, at the offices of Farr, Farr, Emerich, Hackett and Carr, P.A., 99 Nesbit Street, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. The contact number is 941-639-1158.
