MIAMI-- The Eleventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission has been asked to provide Gov. Rick Scott with nominees for the vacancy in the Miami-Dade Circuit Court created by the untimely passing of Judge Julio Jimenez.

All persons interested in applying must deliver a complete application and ten copies to:

The deadline for submitting an application is Friday, Feb. 17, by 5 p.m. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Applications may be downloaded from The Florida Bar's website at www.floridabar.org. The inclusion of a photograph is encouraged. Please do not submit three-ring binders.

If you have submitted an application to the JNC on or after September 1, 2011, you may alternatively deliver a letter requesting the JNC to consider your prior application, but you must deliver two copies of your prior application along with your letter by the deadline set forth above.

NOTE TO APPLICANTS: In order to assist the Judicial Nominating Commission in its review of applications, all questions in the application must be fully and completely answered. In addition, applications should include current and accurate contact information for judges, co-counsel, opposing counsel and references where requested as those individuals will be contacted. If there is requested information missing from an application, the JNC will consider the applicant's lack of effort in submitting a complete application.
