Florida attorneys and their staff who want to learn more about e-filing in the Florida courts — for both criminal and civil cases — and particularly the soon-to-start electronic service can sign up for one of five upcoming online seminars offered by the Florida Courts E-Filing Authority.
The authority oversees the statewide portal through which e-filing is done.
Each class may last up to two hours in order to have time for plenty of questions and answers. Up to 2.0 CLE hours are offered, depending on class length.
The seminars will be held at noon on September 19, September 27, September 30, October 3, and October 9.
The training will be offered through WebEx, an online interactive conferencing software. To participate in any of the scheduled WebEx trainings, go to the e-filing resources page of the Bar’s website and click on the link to the meeting you wish to attend. You will be able to enter the meeting 15 minutes before the start time. To connect, press the “Join” button. There is no prior registration needed. After connecting online, click the info tab and call the provided toll-free number, enter the Access Code number, and finally enter the Attendee ID number.
If you have not used WebEx before, download the program by signing on 20 to 30 minutes prior to the class.
