The Florida State University College of Law Public Interest Law Center invites the public to a free screening of the documentary “15 to Life: Kenneth’s Story,” followed by a panel discussion on extreme sentencing of juvenile offenders.

The event is September 15 at 7 p.m. at the FSU Student Life Cinema (near the FSU Leach Athletic Center) in Tallahassee.

The documentary tells the story of Florida youth Kenneth Young, who received four consecutive life sentences at the ages of 14 and 15 for four armed robberies. The documentary features the FSU Public Interest Law Center’s work, under the direction of Professor Paolo Annino, in advocating for children who receive extreme sentences in Florida. The documentary was recently shown on PBS POV (Point of View). Canadian Director Nadine Pequeneza and her crew came to Tallahassee to film, as well as other locations in Florida.
