This year’s chair of the committee, Michael Schneider, left, presented the first award, the William M. Hoeveler Judicial Professionalism Award, to Chief Judge Anne C. Throughout her career, Judge Conway has exemplified strength of character, service, and competence as a jurist, lawyer, and public servant. The committee’s Law Faculty Professionalism Award went to Scott Rogers of the University of Miami School of Law. Professor Rogers is a pioneer of the mindfulness in law movement and is the founder and director of the Institute for Mindfulness Studies and of the University of Miami School of Law’s Mindfulness in Law Program.
