Daniel and Carolyn Bandklayder
DANIEL AND CAROLYN BANDKLAYDER, both lawyers, hosted a fundraiser at their Miami home that netted $7,616 for Boston Terrier Rescue of Florida. The couple adopted two dogs — Bo and Wiggles — from Boston Terrier Rescue, both of whom are deaf. Wiggles came in to rescue severely abused with two broken legs, and Bo starving and mangey. Bo was found chained to an abandoned building in Georgia. “If it wasn’t for Boston Terrier Rescue, they would both be dead,” Carolyn said. “We are very grateful for the work they do, and this is our way of giving back.” The couple taught Bo sign language, and he knows about 30 signs. Wiggles, still a puppy, knows about six signs, so far. This is the sixth year the Bandklayders hosted an animal charity event, and Daniel handles all of Boston Terrier Rescue’s legal work pro bono.
