Florida Coastal School of Law has announced key leadership changes at the school. Dennis Stone, currently president at Charlotte School of Law, has been appointed president of the institution.
Dean Peter Goplerud has been selected to lead a new entity focused on legal education. An interim dean will be appointed in the coming weeks and a national search for a permanent dean will commence in the near future.
“We are so pleased to welcome Dennis Stone back to the Florida Coastal community,” said Rick Inatome, CEO of the InfiLaw System of law schools. “President Stone helped found Florida Coastal. He has served in a variety of leadership positions in the InfiLaw consortium and has been a primary contributor to our success.”
Stone has more than 30 years of experience in legal education, having served as director of the law library at the University of Connecticut School of Law and in a similar capacity at Gonzaga University School of Law.
Stone succeeds Rick Inatome, who continues to serve as CEO for InfiLaw.
Current Dean Peter Goplerud has been selected to lead InfiLaw’s new management services company, which will draw upon the consortium’s expertise, tools, and experienced personnel to heighten InfiLaw’s impact.
