Jacksonville needs a magistrate

The Judicial Conference of the United States has authorized the appointment of a full-time United States magistrate judge for the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida in Jacksonville.

The current annual salary of the position is $160,080. The term of office is eight years.
The position will be available on October 31.

The application form may be obtained at the intake counter of the clerks’ offices in Ft. Myers, Jacksonville, Ocala, Orlando, and Tampa divisions or at the court’s website at

The original and 11 copies of the completed application, including a recent and in-depth writing sample, must be submitted only by the applicant and must be received, regardless of mode of delivery, by Sheryl L. Loesch, Clerk of Court, U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Attn: Magistrate Judge Applications, 401 W. Central Blvd., Suite 2100, Orlando 32801-0210, no later than 5 p.m., April 8. Applications by fax will not be accepted.
