Ashby named certified lawyer of the year
KIMBERLY A. ASHBY of Akerman Senterfitt in Orlando received the 2013 Justice Harry Lee Anstead Award for The Florida Bar Board Certified Lawyer of the Year, recognizing her “exemplary professionalism and excellence in the practice of law and character and commitment to The Florida Bar’s certification program.” Incoming BLSE Chair Rob Wilkins of West Palm Beach presented the award to Ashby in Boca Raton at the Bar Annual Convention. Wilkins quoted the lawyers who nominated Ashby, saying, “Kim has been acknowledged by her peers throughout her career for exhibiting a longtime commitment to professionalism and ethics. She has demonstrated — as stated in The Florida Bar Creed of Professionalism – a true devotion to public service and the public good.” Ashby is dually board certified in appellate practice and construction law.
